Introduction

With Access Groups it is possible to give access to a set of tokens or users to a charge station. There are 3 different types of Access Groups. Dependent on the type of access group, it is possible to set a custom tariff for a certain user.

  1. RFID tokens: in this type of access group you can add any RFID token based on either the UID or the Visual ID. This can also be an OV Chip card for example. It’s not possible to set a tariff for this Access Group entry. Therefore charge sessions will always be EUR 0.

  2. Based on users: you can add users of your account or a different account to the Access Group. It is possible to set a custom tariff for these users.

Use cases

  • I want to use my charge card for authorization and close it for other users: By adding a RFID token to the access group an user can make sure that he/she is the only one that can start a session. Often used at business locations and home locations where there is no reimbursement needed for certain users.

  • I want to give a discounted rate to my employees when they charge at the office: Add the users that are tied to the account or when they use a private charge card within the same Provider, you can select ‘external account’

Instructions: create an access group

Customers and provider admins can create access groups. We always recommend customers to add these themselves.

For provider admins

  1. Go to /charging-stations/access-groups

  2. Click on ‘New Access Group’

  3. Select the account you want to create the access group for

  4. Choose type: RFID Tags / Users

  5. Select Visibility

  6. Click on ‘Create’

  7. Add entries or members

For end-customers

  1. Go to your account and log in;

  2. Go to 'My locations', pick ‘My access groups’ and click '+ New Access Group';

  3. Select what group you want to create. Choose “Users” if these people have an E-Flux charge card within your account and choose “RFID” for other users;

  4. Name the access group, decide if it should be private (only visible by you) or shared (visible by anyone in your account) and save it;

  5. Click the group name and add members;

    1. If you chose “Users”: add users from your account and set the price type.

    2. If you chose “RFID”: you can import members or add them by adding the right token (by adding the UID or visual ID). Want to find out the UID yourself? Read more here.

  6. Go to ‘My locations’ and click on the location you want to add the access group to. Go to ‘Configuration’ and click on the gear wheel to add your access group. Do this for every charging station that you want to add the access group to.
