What is Roaming Activity?

Roaming activity provides valuable insights into the data exchanged between charge stations, tokens, and the broader roaming network. As a Road Private Label (PL) customer using CPO and MSP services, you can now monitor what information has been sent or updated, ensuring greater transparency and control over your data.

Why is Roaming Activity Important?

This feature allows customers to verify whether key details such as locations, tariffs, charge cards, and CPO sessions have been successfully shared with the roaming network.

  • For Road PL customers: You can see if your locations, CPO sessions, tariffs, and charge cards have been shared with roaming partners. This transparency allows them to ensure their information is correctly displayed. If data is missing or incorrect, they can proactively reach out to the company managing the app.

  • For end-customers: They can check if a location has been shared with roaming networks. If a location is missing from an EV app, they can contact their provider (Road PL customer) or reach out to the app’s support team.

Where to Find Roaming Activity?

  3. View token details such as:

    • Token Auth ID

    • Visual ID on the card

    • UID or RFID emitted

  4. Change the token status (activate or block a token).

  5. Switch between authorization modes:

    • Remote Authorization: The CPO must check the token status with Road PL in real time.

    • Stored Authorization: The CPO can store the token status in their system and authorize based on that status.

  6. Review all updates that have been broadcasted, including messages sent and responses received.

  7. Check which OCPI connections were synchronized with the update.

  8. Manually trigger a new sync and toggle auto-refresh as required.

By utilizing the roaming activity tools, Road PL customers can ensure their charge station, session, and token data are accurately represented across EV apps and platforms. This helps maintain a seamless charging experience for EV drivers and provides better control over network visibility.
