Tariff Profiles can now carry a special price for operators' own card billing plans, on top of the standard tariff.
Cards on the selected plan get that special rate at the operator's charge points, while every other driver, including drivers arriving through roaming, keeps paying the standard tariff.
Until now, giving an operator's own drivers a different price meant setting up access group(s) for each charger. Now it is a single setting on the profile the operator already uses.
This is built for providers that act as CPO and MSP and want to give their own card holders a lower price. It suits semi-public networks too, where employees, residents or members should pay less than passing drivers.
How it works:
A special price for a card billing plan is added to a Tariff Profile, alongside the standard tariff. When a driver starts a session, the platform checks which billing plan the card is on. If that plan has a special price, it applies. If not, the standard tariff applies. The selected price is recorded on the session, so the CDR, the driver's receipt and the invoice all reflect the special rate.
Example use cases:
Why this matters:
Loyalty pricing without extra structure. One Tariff Profile serves both the operator's own card holders and the public, with no separate access groups to maintain.
Self set up. Operator configures everything in the tariff profile settings, so there is no request to raise and no waiting.
Predictable for roaming. The standard tariff stays the price published to roaming partners. Only cards on the operator's own billing plans get the special price.
Granular per plan. Each billing plan can have its own rate, so operator can build tiers such as staff, member and public on a single profile.

FAQs
Who receives the special price configured on a Tariff Profile?
The special price applies to charge cards linked to the operator's specific card billing plans. Because pricing is tied directly to the billing plan rather than individual drivers, all cardholders assigned to that plan automatically receive the rate.
Does special pricing change the rate that roaming drivers pay?
No. Roaming partners and external drivers always pay the standard tariff configured on the Tariff Profile. Only cards on the selected billing plan receive the special price.
Does the special price apply to all charge points in a network?
The special price applies to the entire Tariff Profile, meaning it takes effect on every charge point assigned to that profile. To offer discounts at only select locations, a separate Tariff Profile must be created and assigned to those specific chargers.
Can multiple billing plans have different special prices on the same profile?
Yes. Multiple billing plans can each have their own custom price within the same Tariff Profile. Any billing plan without a dedicated special price defaults to the standard tariff.
Can a special price be applied to an individual driver or card?
No. Special pricing operates strictly at the billing plan level. For individual exceptions, driver-specific rates, or dedicated permissions, Access Groups should be used instead.
Can the special price be configured higher than the standard tariff?
Technically, yes - the system allows defining any rate for a plan. However, the intended purpose is to provide discounts or loyalty rates to the operator's own cardholders.
What steps should be taken prior to activating a special price?
When relevant affected cardholders should be informed before activation, as the price change will directly reflect on subsequent charging sessions and invoices.
