Road Manual: QPOWER

On this page you will find the steps to connect the QPOWER charger to Road platform.

Configuration Requirements

  • Road Sim card (optional), EVSE ID, configuration manual for the installer and registration manual for the owner of the charging station

  • Configuration device: laptop

  • UTP cable

Follow the steps

Step 1: Switch off the charger's power supply and open the front cover of the charging station.

Step 2: On the motherboard, set the N1N2 (5/6) dial switch to ON as shown in the picture below.

Step 3: Plug one end of a network cable into the WLAN port on the motherboard and connect the other end to your laptop. Switch the charger's power supply back on once the cable is connected.

Step 4: Set up a Static IP address on your macOS or Windows 10 laptop:

Step 5: Enter the following web address in your browser to enter the web page of the charger: http://192.168.1.253/index.html. Login with the following credentials:

  • Username: root

  • Password: root@123456

Step 6: Navigate to the Configuration menu and change the CsmsWebsocketUrl to:

  • ws://ocpp.road.io/<provider-slug> -> When using a white Road SIM card or another connection method.

  • ws://ocpp-internal.road.io/<provider-slug> -> When using a purple Road SIM card.

*If a Road SIM card is used to set up the connection, the SimCardAPN must be set to:

  • m2m.services -> When using a purple Road SIM card:

  • road.io -> When using a purple Road SIM card:

Step 7: Go to the Network menu and select SWITCH_CODE as the server network method.

Step 8: Set the N1N2 (5/6) selector switch on the motherboard according to the network method used:

  • WiFi:

  • 4G:

  • LAN:

Step 9: Reboot the charger to finish the configuration process.

The charging station is now connected to the Road platform!
