Road Manual: Schrack Technik

On this page you will find the steps to connect the Schrack Technik charger to the Road platform.

Configuration Requirements

  • Road Sim card (optional), EVSE ID, configuration manual for the installer and registration manual for the owner of the charging station

  • Installation manual Schrack Technik

  • Configuration device: laptop

  • Micro-USB cable

Follow the steps

Step 1: Setup a connection between the charger and your laptop by connecting the laptop to the same local network as the charger or by connecting a micro-USB between the two devices.

Step 2: Once you’ve setup the connection between the laptop and the charger, you can access the configuration page via the following web address: 192.168.123.123.

Step 3: Navigate to the Backend settings of the charger.

Step 4: Enter the following values to setup the connection with Road:

  • Connection Type: Choose one of the connection methods shown below.

    • GSM (APN name road sim card: m2m.services)

    • WLAN

    • ETHERNET

    • USB

  • OCPP ChargeBoxIdentity (ChargePointID): Enter the unique serial number of the charger

  • OCPP Mode: OCPP-J 1.6

  • WebSockets JSON OCPP URL of the backend:

    • When using a white Road SIM card or another connection method: ws://ocpp.road.io/<provider-slug>

    • When using a purple Road SIM card: ws://ocpp-internal.road.io/<provider-slug>

  • Websockets proxy: -

  • WebSockets keep-alive interval: 60

  • OCPP connection strictness: -

  • HTTP Basic Authentication password: -

Note: When using a purple Road SIM card the APN name should be changed to: road.io. When using the white Road SIM card or another SIM card the APN name should be m2m.services.

Step 5: Check the connection with the backend in the Diagnostics menu.

The charging station is now connected to the Road platform!
