Road Manual: LCTC H-Series

On this page you will find the steps to connect the LCTC H-Series charger to the Road platform.

Configuration Requirements

  • Road Sim card (optional), EVSE ID, configuration manual for the installer and registration manual for the owner of the charging station

  • User Manual H-Series

  • Hcharger app

  • Configuration device: mobile phone

Follow the steps

Step 1: Download the Hcharger app from the Google Play Store or the App Store.

Step 2: Open the Hcharger app on your mobile phone and make a connection with your charger via Bluetooth.

Step 3: Navigate to the OCPP settings of the charger and fill in the following values:

  • OCPP Server Address:

    • When using a white Road SIM card or another connection method: ws://ocpp.road.io/<provider-slug>

    • When using a purple Road SIM card: ws://ocpp-internal.road.io/<provider-slug>

  • EV Charger Identification Code: ‘Enter the serial number of the charger’

Step 4: Go to the Networking settings and configure one of the following Networking modes:

  • WIFI: Enter the WiFi Configuration (name & password) and confirm the settings

  • 4G/5G: Enter the APN Name and confirm the settings:

    • When using a white Road SIM card or another connection method: m2m.services

    • When using a purple Road SIM card: road.io

  • Ethernet: Enter the Ethernet IP address and confirm the settings

Step 5: Click on Confirm and wait for the charger to reboot

Step 6: Log back into the Hcharger app and check if the charger is connected to the network and the OCPP platform.

The charging station is now connected to the Road platform!
