Configuration Requirements

  • Road Sim card (optional), EVSE ID, configuration manual for the installer and registration manual for the owner of the charging station

  • User Manual S-Series

  • Configuration device: laptop/mobile phone

Follow the steps

Step 1: Open the WiFi settings on your mobile phone or laptop and select the network that has the serial number of the charger as the SSID. The password of the network is the same as the SSID.

Note: The serial number of the charger can be obtained from the commissioning label on the right side of the charger, or from the device info on the touch screen.

Step 2: The web interface of the charger should open automatically on your device after connecting to the charger’s WiFi. If the interface didn’t open up automatically, you can log in manually by entering the following address in your browser: 192.168.1.1.

Step 3: Use the password 123456 to get access to the Main page.

Step 4: Click on OCPP setup and enter the following values:

  • OCPP URL:

    • When using a white Road SIM card or another connection method: ws://ocpp.road.io/<provider-slug>

    • When using a purple Road SIM card: ws://ocpp-internal.road.io/<provider-slug>

  • CPID: ‘Enter the serial number of the charger’

Step 5: Select Network setup and configure one of the following Networking modes:

  • WiFi: Enter the WiFi Configuration (name & password) and confirm the settings

  • 4G: Enter the APN Name and confirm the settings:

    • When using a white Road SIM card or another connection method: m2m.services

    • When using a purple Road SIM card: road.io

  • Ethernet: Enter the Ethernet IP address or select DHCP and confirm the settings

Step 6: Reboot the charger.

The charging station is now connected to the Road platform!
