EV Driver scans charge card at public charge station

Charge station sends authorization request to backend and checks if the charge card is valid.

Authorization approved: the charge station will start a session.

EV Driver ends session by scanning the same charge card.

Backend of the charge station will stop the session and send the session (= called a Charge Detail Record) to the designated Mobility Service Provider via OCPI or via a Roaming hub.

Mobility Service Provider will bill the session to their customer.

Charge Point Operator will bill the MSP accordingly for all the transactions that took place on the network.

Charge Point Operator will payout the owner of the station.
