New features

MapSDK V2.0

We’ve released an update to our embeddable map widget, designed to give you more power and flexibility.

  • Maps tailored to your business: Instantly set the map context based on who you are. MSPs can showcase every available station across their full roaming network, while CPOs can configure the map to display only their own branded charge points, whether public, private, or both.

  • Filters: We’ve made it easier than ever to enable filters. Your customers can now quickly narrow down results by operator, view only stations with no session fees, or toggle to display only your own stations.

  • Developer experience: For teams building with React, the map logic is now available as a React component. This allows for native integration, improved performance, and complete programmatic control using familiar React patterns.

Dynamic reimbursement for home charging

We are introducing Dynamic Reimbursement for home charging, a new feature that helps employers optimise cost control and maintain compliance when reimbursing employees for EV home charging sessions.

What is dynamic reimbursement?

Dynamic Reimbursement allows you to compensate customers based on the actual energy costs incurred through their dynamic energy contracts, rather than a fixed price per kWh. This is achieved by using the NordPool API to access the average hourly energy market price.

Why is this important?

Many of your employees already have a dynamic energy contract. By enabling charging at dynamic rates, the reimbursement amount better reflects the actual energy cost.

  • Fairer setup: This prevents both overcompensation and undercompensation.

  • Cost control: It helps fleet managers and SMEs keep rising energy costs under control by aligning reimbursements with market reality.

  • Compliance: This functionality is especially important in the Netherlands, as it aligns with tax regulations requiring reimbursements to reflect each employee’s true home charging costs.

Key feature details

  1. Dynamic pricing source: We use the average hourly energy market price by extracting day-ahead energy market prices. This functionality is currently available only in the Netherlands.

  2. Surcharges for True Cost: You can configure a surcharge, either a fixed amount or a percentage, to cover additional costs the employee may incur on top of the market price, such as VAT or supplier fees.

  3. Automatic backup tariff: If the dynamic energy pricing data is unavailable on a given day the system automatically reverts to a predefined backup fee set by the employer. This ensures employees are still reimbursed fairly and without delay.
