Feature Expansion: Dynamic Tariffs for Public Charging in More Countries

After a successful enablement in the Netherlands, we are now rolling out this feature to Germany, France, Belgium, and Austria.

How does it work?
Dynamic Tariffs automatically use real-time Energy Market prices to determine the hourly rate drivers pay at a charging station.

  • Operators can configure this by going to the "Configuration" tab, editing the EVSE Controller Cost Settings, and selecting Dynamic Tariff. The Dynamic Tariff tab will only be visible for the supported countries. Based on the location of the station the relevant energy rates are shown.

  • Tariff profiles: From the dropdown menu, users can now select the country (Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Austria, or France) to view the regional energy market prices.

  • Users can click "View Market Prices" to see a detailed, hourly breakdown of the current rates directly within the dashboard.

Please reach out to our support team to enable this feature.

Product Update: New Provider Setting to Disable Sticker Requests

We’ve just rolled out a new provider setting to give our Private Label partners better control over their onboarding flows.

The Context
Because some providers automatically send physical EVSE stickers directly to their customers, they don't have a process for issuing new or replacement stickers through Road platform. Leaving the request option open created a dead-end for users and unnecessary friction.

What's New:
To solve this, we’ve added a new provider-level thick box "Disable EVSE assignment request"

  • How it works: Once this setting is enabled for a specific provider, the platform will completely disable the option for the users to request a new sticker.

  • The Impact: This aligns the platform with the actual operational processes of Road partners and prevents end-users from making requests that cannot be fulfilled.

Please contact our support team to disable EVSE assignment request.

VAT Labeling for Tariffs

We've updated the onboarding flow and tariff management components to make it clear to users how they should enter their reimbursement tariffs regarding VAT.

The Context
Previously, it wasn't always obvious to users whether the tariff they were entering should include or exclude VAT. This can lead to confusion during setup and potential issues later on with reimbursements.

What's New?

The UI now dynamically updates the tariff input label based on the type of charge station installation the user selects:

  • Employee Reimbursement (Home): The field simply shows "Price per kWh" (or equivalent when managing a tariff)

  • Business / Public Locations: The field explicitly updates to show "Price per kWh (excl. VAT)" or equivalent when managing a tariff).

Note: For business locations, whether the VAT is actually paid out on top of this entered amount still depends on whether the business itself is VAT registered.

Mobile application updates

What to expect with your next app version update.

Wallet & Session Overviews
Aggregated Sessions: We added a new aggregated session overview in the Wallet, showing the total cost, time, kWh, and sessions based on your selected filters. This brings the app in line with the web overview, giving users a consistent experience.
Completed Sessions: The completed session overview has been updated. It now features a map of the location, along with its name and the charger’s name. The graphics are designed to align seamlessly with the session aggregation, providing the best possible overview for the driver.

Location Discovery Improvements
• The location discovery screen has been improved by grouping connectors. This makes it much easier for EV drivers to quickly find the relevant connector for their car and see its specific details.
• We've added support for physical references, which show up in the list for providers who wish to use them as defaults. If no physical reference is provided, the EVSEID will be used by default.

Apple CarPlay & Android Auto Enhancements
New Controls: We’ve added the filter option to help users easily find the charging stations
More Location Info : You can now easily identify locations on the map directly from the list. Locations now include availability, price info and information about the power.
Highway Mode: We’ve extended Highway Mode with three options: Auto (default), Disabled, and Always On. The Always On option is particularly useful for highway drivers who may slow down due to traffic but want to remain focused on highway mode. The "auto" feature simply turns on or off.
Favourites: You can now save your favourite locations and reach them more easily

Location filtering

We’ve expanded the filtering capabilities on the Locations page. You can now filter locations by:

  • Account

  • Facilitator Account

  • User

  • Access & Billing Policy

  • Visibility

  • Created at

  • Has Errors

Search and filtering on Employee locations

Here is what’s new:

  • Search: You can now search the table by Location Name.

  • Filter: Added a filter options allowing you filter locations by User and User Email Address.

This is especially useful for organisations managing a lot of employee locations.

Bulk Download for Billable Items + Cleaner Export UI

Until now, downloading billable items required opening each invoice individually and exporting one by one. We've changed that!

You can now bulk export billable items for an entire invoice type and month in one go, available in both CSV and Excel (.xlsx) formats. The file includes the same data fields as individual invoice exports, with invoice IDs on each row so you can cross-reference back to the invoice.

Alongside this, export options on the Invoices page have been consolidated into a single Exports dropdown with clearly labelled sections, making it easier to find the right export without hunting around.

How it works: When running a bulk export, you'll select an invoice type and a month/year. The download will include billable items from all invoices matching that selection. Here is also a general documentation on the Export functionalities we have for Invoices page for providers.

Limitations/Warnings:

  • The bulk export is scoped to one invoice type and one month at a time. It is not responsive to filters applied on the page — scope is determined by the type and month selection only.

  • For high-volume billing periods, exports may take some time to process. In rare cases with very large datasets, the export may time out — if this happens, please try again.

Status: Available to any user with access to the Invoices screen under the Provider menu.

Dashboard Enhancements

We resolved two usability issues to make the Dashboard experience smoother and more efficient for our users.

  • ‘My Cards’ → ‘My Usage’ Dropdown Improvement

Problem: currently on dashboard, the dropdown menu under ‘My Cards’ → ‘My Usage’ does not scale well for accounts with many charging cards.
Users handling high card volumes face significant friction when trying to locate specific usage data. The existing UI requires manual scrolling through long lists, which is time-consuming
Solution: we replaced the current dropdown with a searchable dropdown component. Users can filter cards by cardholder name or plan. The search works in real time and supports partial matches. Users can still select a card from the filtered results as before.
If no results match the search, a clear message is displayed: “No results found.”

  • MSP End-of-Session Notifications for Non-Admin Users

Problem: non-admin employees currently cannot manage their own MSP end-of-session notification preferences because the “Notifications” tab is only visible to account administrators. Even when an admin disables MSP end-of-session notifications at the account level, affected employees continue to receive these notifications.
Solution: Non-admin users now have access to a “Notifications” tab in their Profile & Settings section on Dashboard
Users can enable or disable “Send notification when my charging session ends” for themselves.

  • The tab only includes MSP end-of-session notification preferences and does not affect other users.

  • Admin controls remain separate and unaffected.
