New Features

MSP Credit Limits

We're introducing MSP Credit Limits, a new feature designed to help you proactively manage credit risk for your customers. This feature give you access to five tiers, allowing you to reduce your exposure to credit risk and potential fraud.

How it works

  • Pre-defined tiers: Use the pre-defined tiers to allocate to your customers. The limits are different for consumers as for businesses.

  • Preventing risk: By defining a maximum credit exposure, you can help prevent costly collections and reduce the impact of potential fraud for both new and existing customers.

  • Risk-based onboarding: The feature allows you to set initial credit limits for new customers and increase them as they demonstrate positive behavior.

  • Account-wide limits: The limits apply to the entire customer account, not to individual tokens.

  • Automated notifications: When a customer reaches 100% of their credit limit, an automatic email is sent to the account owner.

Important information:

  • It is not enabled by default. Contact your Customer Success Manager to enable the MSP Credit Limits.

  • Customers will automatically receive an email once they have reached 100% of their limit. Starting from the next release, this email will also be sent when 80% of the limit is reached.

E-mail notification after session ends

In an attempt to avoid fraudulent transactions taking place on end customers accounts, we have introduced an email that will be sent to a customer which will highlight where a session took place and when. This will be enabled for all customers.

In-app mobile notifications

Your app users will now receive a notification each time a charging session starts and ends. This helps MSP customers quickly identify any suspicious activity.

When a customer swipes their RFID card, the CPO authorises the session and notifies Road. Road then triggers a notification in your branded mobile app.

Note: This feature is available for Road Private Label customers with a branded MSP app and works across all charge point operators.

Improvements

Start a Charge Now session in the mobile app by scanning the QR code with your camera

Drivers can now instantly start a charging session by scanning a physical or digital QR code — no need to search on the map.

This is especially useful for private charging stations that are not publicly visible.

When scanned, the QR code opens the charge point directly in your mobile app, allowing the user to start charging right away.

Note: This feature is only available for Road Private Label customers with a branded MSP app.

Accessibility Statement

Under new EU regulations, you can now add an accessibility statement to your dashboard. The link will appear in the dashboard's footer.

To set this up, please contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM).

Finding a receipt for ad-hoc sessions

Users can now retrieve receipts for charging sessions at private or unknown locations. We’ve added a new option to the receipt flow: “Private or unknown location.”

When selected, users simply enter the last four digits of the card they used for payment to access their receipt, just like they would for public sessions.

Customers can find receipts on: [yourcustomdomain]/receipt
