New features

Bulk management of charging stations

We’re excited to introduce Bulk Management for CPO, a powerful new feature that gives provider admins greater control and efficiency when managing their charging stations. With Bulk Management, admins can perform bulk actions on key functionalities, making station management faster and more streamlined.

This includes seamless firmware updates, ensuring all stations stay up to date with the latest improvements and security patches in just one action. Additionally, station configurations—both standard and custom parameters—can be adjusted at scale to meet specific operational needs.

To further enhance efficiency, commands like reboots can be sent to multiple stations at once, enabling quick responses to performance issues or routine maintenance.By reducing manual work and simplifying operations, Bulk Management gives Operators more control, flexibility, and efficiency—helping keep their charging network optimized and up to date.

Operational management: Smarter control over charging stations

Operational Management is a new feature that helps Operators efficiently manage the lifecycle of their charging stations with predefined system statuses. From Onboarding (initial setup) to Activation (account, location, and billing setup), and finally Live (fully operational with active billing), each status ensures a clear, automated transition. Stations can also be set to Out of Service (temporarily unavailable, billing continues) or Archived (decommissioned, billing stops).

Beyond these default statuses, custom statuses offer flexibility for provider-specific workflows, such as tracking stations stored in a warehouse before deployment or marking them as ready but not yet operational.

This feature is ideal for Charge Point Operators and—soon—field service technicians. With automated updates to charger, roaming, and billing statuses, Operational Management keeps data accurate across all platforms. By reducing manual work and offering deeper insights, it makes station management smoother and more efficient.

Operational Management will be available from February 12th for customers using the Charge Point Operation Platform from Road.

Configuration presets

We’re excited to introduce Configuration Presets, a new feature that simplifies the management and deployment of OCPP configuration parameters across multiple charging stations. Instead of manually setting parameters for each station, users can now define, save, and reuse presets, reducing configuration time and minimizing errors.

This feature is especially useful for charging station operators managing large networks, ensuring that all stations operate with consistent settings. Presets can be applied in key scenarios such as auto-configuration, where saved presets override or add parameters to the default station setup, and bulk updates, allowing providers to efficiently update configurations for multiple stations at once.

By enabling providers to define both standard and custom OCPP parameters, Configuration Presets offer greater flexibility while maintaining operational consistency. This streamlined approach improves efficiency, saves time, and ensures that stations are always set up correctly from the start.

Operational Management will be available from February 12th for customers using the Charge Point Operation Platform from Road.

MSP usage fee

The MSP Usage Fee is a new feature that lets you add an extra charge per kWh or session when customers use your charge card. This fee is part of the billing plan, meaning that when a customer registers for a charge card under a specific plan, they automatically pay the additional fee.

This feature offers an extra revenue stream, encourages customers to charge at preferred stations by making third-party stations more expensive, and creates opportunities to upsell premium subscription plans with better rates or additional benefits.

The MSP Usage Fee is currently available as a pilot program and can be used for six months at no additional cost.

Please contact your Customer Success Manager if you are interested in using this feature.

Improvements to current features

Real-time Token Updates

Any changes to tokens, such as blocking or modifying authorization modes, are now instantly synchronized across the roaming network. This ensures that updates take effect immediately, so all roaming partners have the latest information without delays.

New “Roaming Activity” section

The Roaming Activity section has been added to all entities shared via roaming, giving you better visibility into their status and interactions.

New map SDK released

We've launched a new Map SDK, enhancing performance, customisation, and usability for developers integrating charging maps into their platforms.

Charger configuration

Now, cached configuration parameter values will be displayed while waiting for new configurations to load or when the charger is offline. This ensures that users always have access to the most recently available settings, reducing wait time and improving usability.

Charging station name

Name your charging stations on provider level to easily identify them. This will not be available to account admins or been broadcast over roaming. Easily find and retrieve charging stations by name.
