Configuration Requirements

  • EVSE ID, configuration manual for the installer and registration manual for the owner of the charging station

  • Configuration device: laptop/mobile phone

  • WiFi connection

Follow the steps:

Step 1: You will need to connect to the WiFi (hotspot), which is emitted from your charge point. All EVC04-Models have a WiFi hotspot feature which is enabled by default. The following credentials can be used to access the internet signal of your charge point:

  • WiFi name or SSID: Serial number of your charge point

  • Password: Chargebox-ID

Step 2: After connecting to the "Wi-Fi Hotspot” network, you can open your web browser from a computer or mobile device. In the URL section, enter 192.168.1.1, which is the IP-address of the charging station.

Step 3: Once you’ve entered the URL, you will be forwarded to the WebUI login page. Use the following credentials to login to the web interface:

  • User Name: admin

  • Password: admin

Step 4: Once in the WebUI, go to OCPP settings and enable the OCPP connection. After that you have to fill in the following details:

  • Central system address: ws://ocpp.road.io/<provider-slug>

  • Charge Point ID: *enter your charge point ID here*

Step 5: Scroll down to the field AuthorizationKey and fill in FFFFFFFF as shown in the screenshot below.

Step 6: Click on Save.

Step 7: Now it is time to connect your charge point to the internet. To do so, navigate to the Network interfaces section and select WIFI. Fill in the following details:

  • SSID: *your WiFi’s exact name*

  • Password: *your WiFi's password*

Step 8: After you have filled in the information, please click on Save.

The charging station is now connected to the Road platform!
