Road Manual: E-Totem

On this page you will find the steps to connect the E-Totem charger to the Road platform.

Configuration Requirements

  • Road Sim card (optional), EVSE ID, configuration manual for the installer and registration manual for the owner of the charging station

  • Online installation & user guide E-Totem

  • Computer with ethernet port

  • Ethernet cable

  • A web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge…)

Follow the steps

Step 1: Plug the ethernet cable in your computer and on the left ethernet port of the charger.

Note: The PC might be placed in a different area, depending on the charger type. Refer to the documentation of the charger to locate it.

Step 2: Configure your computer’s network adapter settings to the following values:

  • Fixed IP address: 192.168.20.10

  • Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Step 3: Open your web browser and type in: 192.168.20.134/webadm/

Step 4: The web browser should then show the WebAdmin login page. The WebAdmin is a webpage UI situated inside the E-totem chargers.

Note: If the WebAdmin does not open in your current browser, please try a different web browser.

Step 5: Enter your username, password, and click login. By default, the login is admin and the password system.

Step 6: Go to Settings and click on the Supervision tab.

Step 7: Fill in the following values in the Supervision tab:

  • Charge Box Identity: enter the unique serial number of the charger or use the EVSE ID provided by Road.

  • URL du superviseur ws JSON:

    • When using a white Road SIM card or another connection method: ws://ocpp.road.io/<provider-slug>

    • When using a purple Road SIM card: ws://ocpp-internal.road.io/<provider-slug>

Note: Do not change any other fields, as it might compromise other services on the charger.

Step 8: Click on the Network tab, and enter the following values:

  • APN for the 3G link:

    • When using a white Road SIM card or another connection method: m2m.services

    • When using a purple Road SIM card: road.io

Note: Do not change any other fields, as it might compromise other services on the charger.

The charging station is now connected to the Road platform!
