Road Manual: Hager Witty Park 2

Configuration Requirements

  • Road Sim card (optional), EVSE ID, configuration manual for the installer and registration manual for the owner of the charging station

  • Installation Manual Witty Park 2

  • Configuration device: laptop

Follow the steps

Step 1: Hold the RFID tag in front of the RFID reader for at least 7 seconds to activate the Wi-Fi hotspot. A blue LED light will indicate that the hotspot has been activated successfully.

Step 2: Connect your laptop to the Wi-Fi network that has the serial number of the charger as the SSID: Witty-xxxxxx (the last 6 digits of the serial number).

Step 3: Open your web browser and enter the IP address or computer host name of the charger in the search bar:

  • IP address: 192.168.3.5

  • Computer host name: Hager.local

Step 4: Enter the login credentials that are shown on the label on the side of the charger.

  • Username: admin

  • Password: the first 4 digits of the serial number

Step 5: Open the Charging station tab, select Network and configure the preferred connection method.

Note: If a Road SIM card is used, go to the network settings and activate the mobile data connection. Here you can enter the following APN to activate the connection:

  • When using a white Road SIM card or another connection method: m2m.services

  • When using a purple Road SIM card: road.io

Step 6: Open the Access management tab, select Access methods and enable Controlled access.

Step 7: Select Charging point operator and enter the following values:

  • Charging point operator address:

    • When using a white Road sim card or another connection method ws://ocpp.road.io/<provider-slug>

    • When using a purple Road sim card ws://ocpp-internal.road.io/<provider-slug>

  • OCPP ID: Enter the serial number of the charger

  • Authentication type: Basic

  • Password: Not required

The charging station is now connected to the Road platform!
