Road Manual: GL Charge LiteBox

Configuration Requirements

  • Road Sim card (optional), EVSE ID, configuration manual for the installer and registration manual for the owner of the charging station

  • Online Installation Manual GL Charge LiteBox

  • Configuration device: mobile phone

  • CP Tool app

Follow the steps

Step 1: Download the CP Tool app from the Google Play Store or the App Store.

Step 2: Open the CP Tool app on your phone and enable Bluetooth to be able to find the serial number of the charger in the application.

Step 3: Select your device and enter the password 12345678 to get access to the configuration. You can change the password later if you want to.

Step 4: Go to the configuration of the charger and configure the network settings, you can select the following network options: Wifi, 4G & LAN.

Note: if you’re using a sim card from Road, please enter the following APN name:

  • When using a white Road SIM card: m2m.services

  • When using a purple Road SIM card: road.io

Step 5: Enter the following OCPP settings to set up the connection with Road:

  • Server URL:

    • When using a white Road SIM card or another connection method: ws://ocpp.road.io/<provider-slug>

    • When using a purple Road SIM card: ws://ocpp-internal.road.io/<provider-slug>

  • CP Name: ‘Enter the serial number of the charger’

  • Authorization Key: Leave empty'

  • Charge Mode: APP

Step 6: Click on Set to save the settings and reboot the charger to connect to the backend.

The charging station is now connected to the Road platform!
