Configuration Requirements

  • EVSE ID, configuration manual for the installer and registration manual for the owner of the charging station

  • User manual EN+

  • Configuration device: mobile phone

  • WiFi connection

Follow the steps:

Step 1: Network configuration

Wifi Connection

  • Turn on WiFi and Airplane mode on your phone.

  • Select the hotspot of your charge point, it should start with “SN…” and the serial number of your charger.

  • Enter WiFi password (by default it is - admin123).

Step 2: Log in

  • Select a browser.

  • Enter your device’s IP address (by default it is - 192.168.4.1).

  • Enter a 4-digit network password (PIN number). The PIN number of your charger can be found on the last page of your user manual.

Note: Please, double check that the hotspot you are connected to is correct, otherwise you will not be able to enter the login interface.

Step 3: WiFi setup

  • Click on Network Setup

  • Then click on WiFi. You can select the WiFi name that you want to connect to in here, by selecting Other and entering the WiFi information (if your WiFi is not on the list).

  • Here you also need to change the server address to - ws://ocpp.road.io/<provider-slug> . After you enter the server address, the SN will display automatically.
Note: After setting up the WiFi, select the charge point hotspot again and enter its password again.

Step 4: Verifying network connectivity

After logging in again, please make sure the WiFi strength is Excellent, Server communication is Connected, and the network status is Online. If the WiFi strength is Poor, please try to change the WiFi. If the server communication is Disconnected or the network status shows Offline, please try to reset network settings, then repeat Steps 2 and 3.

The charging station is now connected to the Road platform!
