Road Manual Evonity

On this page you will find the steps to connect the Evonity charger to the Road back office platform.

Configuration Requirements

  • Road Sim card (optional), EVSE ID, configuration manual for the installer and registration manual for the owner of the charging station

  • Laptop

  • UTP cable

Step 1: Login to the Evonity Platform, URL: Go to http://ev3000:81

Username: operator
Password: operator

Step 2: Configure EVSE, Navigate to the Charging stations overview > EVSE configuration:

Step 3: Find the EVSE you want to configure and click the '+' icon next to it.

Click on the configuration icon.

Step 4: Make the following configuration settings: Set the enable mode to 'by OCPP'.

Step 5: Choose the lock mode of the socket: 'At EV connected - disconnected' for automatic locking when connected to a vehicle.

'by remote control' for remote locking via OCPP.

Click 'Save changes' to save your configuration.

Step 6: Go to the OCPP Configuration Overview.

Enter the backend URL and add '/OCPP ID' at the end, replacing 'OCPP ID'with your specific OCPP ID.

Like this:

  • When using a white Road SIM card or another connection method: ws://ocpp.road.io/<provider-slug>/<OCPP>

  • When using a purple Road SIM card: ws://ocpp-internal.road.io/<provider-slug>/<OCPP>

After entering the correct URL, click 'Save changes'.

Note:
When using a purple Road SIM card the APN name should be changed to: road.io. When using the white Road SIM card or another SIM card the APN name should be m2m.services

Step 7: Then click 'Restart OCPP' to restart the OCPP connection with the new configuration.

The charging station is now connected to the Road platform!
