As of 1 January 2026, the Dutch emission certificate (ERE) framework allows charge point operators to turn EV charging volumes into an additional revenue stream. The Road Marketplace provides the open data infrastructure needed to unlock this opportunity, eliminating the operational complexity of data collection and export.
Through the Marketplace, Road securely packages and transmits your charging data to an approved Booking Service Provider (Inboekdienstverlener), who handles compliance, validation, and trading directly with the Dutch Emissions Authority (NEa).
Note: This specific integration satisfies the Dutch NEa compliance framework and applies strictly to Dutch charging infrastructure.
Choosing your ERE Booking Service Provider
Our solution is built on a partner-agnostic Marketplace setup. This gives you the freedom to choose how you manage your emission certificates while keeping full control over your user experience:
Voltico (recommended): Road has partnered with Voltico as our preferred Booking Service Provider. Selecting Voltico offers a fully supported, seamless integration out of the box.
Alternative providers: you can also use Road's open infrastructure to connect your platform to any other Inboekdienstverlener of your choice.
Please note that Road is not responsible for the services or outcomes delivered by third-party ERE partners. For a fully supported experience, we recommend Voltico.
Technical setup and documentation
